Pittosporum undulatum

English names: Sweet pittosporum, Australian cheesewood, Native daphne

Latin name: Pittosporum undulatum

Family: Pittosporaceae/Pittosporaceae

Origin: Australia

This tree grows up to 15 m. in height. The edges of the leaves are wavy. The flowers are white and fragrant, and appear from spring to early summer. The fruits are orange-coloured and spherical, with a diameter of 1 cm. The sweet pittosporum originally grew in certain eastern coastal regions of Australia, but since European settlement, it has increased its range. As it grows quickly, the species has spread to other continents, where it has been considered invasive.
